UCTN's "The High
Definition Creative Community Initiative"
Digital TV Seminar and
Workshop Opportunity - July 2006
Interested in becoming a
television or film production professional? Want to
take a course taught by experienced industry pros for
FREE?
The
Upper Catskill Television Network, a not-for-profit
organization, based in Oneonta, New York, will be
conducting a series of Digital Film/TV production
seminars and workshops in July. These two-day seminars,
overseen by experienced industry professionals, will be
followed by selected mini-production workshops. Two or
more workshop projects will eventually be shot on HD
video using production crews from the seminar courses.
All courses will be provided free to the selected
candidates.

Experienced and entry-level candidates will be screened
and considered for this no fee opportunity. Each area
of study will involve both theoretical and practical
information, with an emphasis on production application.
Candidates in each category will benefit from a “hands
on” intensive one-on-one learning environment.
Creative and technical aspects of television and film
production will be examined and utilized in each of the
workshop productions. These workshops will mirror actual
production working environments and will provide a level
of experience difficult to obtain outside of the
industry.
“The High Definition Creative Community Initiative” is
funded in part by a U.S. Department of Labor Earmark
grant, as part of the Pilot and Demonstration projects
program. |
